Window Coverings In a Jiffy

This year I moved to a new classroom and my cute brocade curtains didn't fit these openings. I thought I'd try contact paper for some make-shift window coverings and I love how it turned out. Simply measure the area of the window to cover and make a template with butcher paper or newspaper. Trace the size of the opening onto the contact paper backing.  Finally, cut and peel the contact paper from the backing and place on the window. I had to try a few times to get it right and then smooth out the bubbles. It's easy to take off and creates a nice, opaque look!
