The Gingerbread House

Our first mountain project was this adorable Victorian
which we named The Gingerbread House.
From the moment we laid eyes on it, we saw the potential
and knew it would be cute enough to take a bite out of with a little work.

We had to contact a few painters before we found someone willing to take
on this project. The entire house needed to be sanded down and our
wonderful painter did a top-notch job (notice all of the shingles that
needed to be sanded and stained as well as the crazy finale details).

The house was hidden behind these overgrown plants and the lattice didn't
do much for curb appeal.

We still dressed her up for the holidays before the work was done.

adorable, right?

I really love this second floor porch...

These market lights brighten up this space and look so inviting from the street.

Fast forward to spring and a new paint job and some landscaping!

Awe little Gingerbread House, you look amazing now!

Our landscaper did a fantastic job! We have a little dry rock river and a cute garden in spring/summer/fall.

Love our little bear, he's from my favorite mountain stop for decor, Cabin Fever

Thanks for taking a peek at the Gingerbread House! More interior photos to come soon :)
