Lava Cake

So they say necessity is the mother of invention...

thus our version of Chocolate Lava Cake was born

all you need is~

1 chocolate cake mix and the stuff to make the mix

1 tub of chocolate frosting

all you do is~

mix and bake the cake according to directions, 

then take the bottom of a spatula or wooden spoon and poke

a bunch of holes in the cake as soon as it comes out of the oven

immediately glob on the whole tub of frosting in equal parts

all over the cake...

as quickly as you can, carefully spread the frosting all over 

(be light with the spatula so you don't pull up cake crumbs)

serve piping hot and top with your choice of ice cream! 

I've been making this cake for years after my daughter requested it

for her birthday waaaay back when. We all love it so much

it has become a family favorite, I hope you like it too!
