Apple Place Card Holders

How about some inexpensive red delicious
apple place card holders for Thanksgiving dinner?

All you will need is the following:
2 apples per place setting, silk or die cut fall leaves,
alphabet stamps and ink pad (or a marker to hand letter names),
skewers, and a bit of raffia or ribbon to adorn...

Holding a leaf facing upright...

fold leaf in half from top to bottom and punch a hole through both sides...

Open up the leaf and stamp or letter the name of your guest...

Allow the ink to dry for a few minutes...

Stack two apples (make sure the base is stable, you might need to slice
a bit off the bottom to make sure your apples stay upright), then carefully
drive the wooden skewer through the middle of the top apple and then
through the bottom, base apple...

Next, take the stamped/lettered leaf and place the skewer through the holes...

Add a small string of raffia or ribbon to secure the leaf in place, and set
your apple place card holder on a plate...

How cute and easy is this for your Thanksgiving table?
