Pink and Black

The girls have moved away from the
"endless summer surfer girl" theme to
pink & black in their lovely room...

I shared this lampshade dress-up a while back

here's the entire room...

love this sign...
"Faith is not knowing what the future holds
but who holds the future"
{similar one on Etsy}

found this frame at a garage sale for $3!!
It was a gilded gold but some black
paint took care of that!
There's a seam down the middle that's now
covered by pics and stuff, had to
order rolls of cork.
the above desk was a wood color but white paint
and some cute Anthro knobs worked magic.
($6.00 each in 4 pastel colors)

the mirror was a wood color, now black
chalkboard paint so the girls can write messages on it.
The sconces are from Pottery Barn quite some time
ago, and they are filled with crystals and
pink silk hydrangeas...

I found these gorgeous drapes at Target online
and I was wanting 96" so I could hang them
close to the ceiling. Lucky me,  I scored them on clearance
and bought extra for the little side windows
(plus I had a little extra for pillow covers)...

the two small windows have these little Anthro Petal Hooks
as curtain hold-backs ($10 each and so cute!)...

These pillows are my favorite!
I purchased the digital images from
Graphique on Etsy for $1.00 each!!
(I couldn't get enough, you can see
the how-to-iron-on here). I stitched these
up with burlap, white cotton, and black and
white polkadot fabric on the back...

this was a true design on a dime project!
We painted the bookshelf white, moved the night
stand from another room in the house, painted the Eiffel
Tower frame black (and found that print for under $10),
scored chenille bedspread and bedskirts on the internet,
and just had fun working together to get it done!

although we finished this a few months ago,
we keep finding cute little pink and black
decorations that fit in so well!

Love that color scheme! And all the pretties that go along with it of course!
