Candy Paper Clips

I'm planning ahead for holiday teacher's gifts...

All you will need for this craft is:
Fimo Soft Molding Material clay (less than $2.00 a brick),
large paper clips, cutting board, knife (non-serrated works best),
a rolling pin or sturdy cup for flattening clay, and a cookie sheet.

Roll out a few portions of the red and white clay until about 1/8 inch thick...

place the white on top of the red flattened piece of clay and
trim with a knife to make a rectangular shape...

roll up the two pieces like a roll cake..

slice off the end to make a clean cut to begin the "candies"...

slice your roll in about 1/4-1/2 inch sections..

Take each piece you just cut off and insert the end of
the paperclip (that you would not clip papers together with)
about half way into the clay...

in a preheated 265 degree oven, bake the clay with clips inserted
for 25 minutes...
allow to cool, then wrap them up!!

little candle votive holders are super inexpensive
at craft stores and can be dressed up with a bit of
ribbon (I picked these up for .59 cents each)...

how cute! looks like a little jar of candies:)
sweet and functional for a teacher's desk!
