I grew up with this sweet You Are Special plate...
My mom served us our birthday breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and cake on this plate.
We used this plate to celebrate accomplishments and
sometimes just "because."
When I moved out on my own, my mom bought me
one of these plates to start my own traditions.
Now my kids look forward to using this plate on
their birthdays. Last week they served a delish
birthday breakfast for ME on the red plate, so sweet!

We grew up with a red plate too! I was so excited to receive my own as a wedding gift. Everyone enjoys it when it's their turn for the red plate (when I remember to get it out! ;-)
