Vintage Dress Form Card

Oh, how I love this Vintage Image Download of
an Antique Wire Dress Form (image source)
(you should add this blog to your faves!)

Anywhooo...
Here's what I did with this cute image...
you can make this easy card, too...

All you will need is some post card or folded card paper,
card stock to print the image above from The Graphics Fairy link,
glue, a bit of fabric (or organza, ribbon, etc), and a few adornments...

To begin, click the image to enlarge, then save to your computer.
Open a Word doc and pull the image over to Word, where you
can then change the size of the image to fit your project...

Print the dress form after you have chosen the perfect size...I printed
a few to see how each would look on my card...

Carefully cut around the form, as you can see I used regular copy paper as
I was out of card stock...it worked fine for the tute but I'd prefer to use card stock...

Cut a piece of organza or fabric about 4 inches by 8 inches, fold it in half
and work it around the dress form (this is where the card stock image
makes for an easier project so there's no bending)...

here is the "dress" almost formed...

next, add a bit of ribbon to cinch up the waist, then glue on a few adornments
(these are just odds and ends from my scrap booking box)...

How cute is this for a little girl's birthday card or just a card for a sweet friend?
