I'm starting a poetry unit with my language arts classes
and I wanted a cute little book for the students to use
rather than lined paper...

after cutting the card stock and white paper in half assemble the books with card stock on the bottom and about 4-5 pieces of the white copy paper on top, then fold the papers in half for your "spine."
then simply sew down the crease to create a "binding"...
have your students decorate the covers and fill the inside pages with poetry terms
and examples of they types of poetry you are studying...
I'll be taking my stamps and stickers to school, the kids
always love to decorate with craft supplies!
You can use these little books for anything, even just
coloring books for your own littles.

I know this wasn't what your post was on, but WHERE did you get your paper cutter?? I just bought (a rather expensive) one....the kind where the cutter slides, but it doesn't cut cardstock :(
I need one with a handle that goes up and down to cut...

What a cute little notebook! Did you just use a normal sewing needle to make those???

My daughter always like to make little journals to draw but I always use staples...sewing them looks SO MUCH prettier!! One more reason to learn how to use the sewing machine!!
